About

My work is a reflection of my fascination with light and shade, encompassing nature and human form in all its glory and beauty. I draw inspiration from the organic forms and patterns found in the environment, translating them firstly into an abstract backdrop. I then place subject matter onto this work to give each piece a distinct sense of place.
My process is intuitive and experimental using an interplay of techniques with textures, colours and layers using inks and organic materials such as chalk, charcoal and sand, crafting pieces that capture a sense of movement and flow.
I invite viewers to feel a deep connection to the essence of nature’s beauty and wonder. I hope that through my art you will be inspired, and will be able to evoke the calming peace of the amazing natural world in your home
My working life has primarily been in the health and fitness world, which I have loved. However, art has always had a strong presence throughout my journey.
There was a time when I enjoyed designing and creating stained glass pieces, a passion sparked by my desire to make glass art for a new home nursery I was eagerly designing for my first born.
During that period my work was excitedly featured in a prestigious magazine for the Glazing Industry after I won a National Competition for the design of a stained glass piece commemorating the UK’s entry into the EEC. The piece was judged by MP
Denis Healey, though most of you reading this are likely too young to remember him!!! I however, will never forget those eyebrows!!! What amazing paintbrushes they would’ve made!!! How times have changed.

I am lucky to be surrounded by amazing family and friends who thankfully have always supported and encouraged me to keep creating. My passion for art has found its home on the canvas, where I love to explore experimental processes and organic materials.
I create from a place of genuine inspiration and joy, finding the process not only deeply therapeutic but also a much-needed escape from the complexities of everyday life. I am profoundly grateful for the drive to create and for the opportunity to share my experiences through my work. I hope you find as much enjoyment and connection in viewing my art as I do in bringing it to life.
Thanks for taking the time to visit,
